Sara Raby

Mums Matter clinician

Sara Raby

Sara is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar with experience supporting women through the emotional, relational, and identity challenges of the perinatal period. She has worked with clients navigating a range of difficulties including fertility struggles, miscarriage, pregnancy termination due to genetic conditions, birth trauma, relationship issues, parenting stress, and the complex process of becoming a parent. Sara combines a strong clinical foundation with a warm, empathetic approach, creating a safe space for clients to explore their experiences and develop new ways of coping and growing. As a mother of two, she understands firsthand the profound shifts this life stage can bring. Sara’s research has explored the experiences of women who become mothers after early maternal loss, as well as the transition to motherhood for migrant women in Australia. She draws on psychodynamic and attachment-focused frameworks, integrating CBT, DBT, and Schema therapy to tailor her approach to each client’s needs.
