Georgina Draxler

Georgina is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults and takes a client-centred, neuroaffirming approach to therapy, valuing each client’s unique lived experience. Her main therapeutic modalities include Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She integrates these approaches to support clients in processing past experiences, navigating present challenges, and building resilience for the future. Georgina has a special interest in perinatal mental health, neurodivergence (ADHD and autism), trauma, and adjustment challenges. She has completed specific perinatal mental health training through the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and Dr Bronwyn Leigh’s Perinatal Infant Mental Health course. Her honours research explored secondary infertility, deepening her understanding of the emotional complexities surrounding fertility challenges. Therapy with Georgina is a collaborative and compassionate space, where clients are supported to build self-understanding, develop practical strategies, and work towards feeling more grounded, empowered, and connected.
